What To Expect: Before, During, and After RHA® Filler
Your consultation is the heart of the experience. Dr. Preussner will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and craft a personalized plan using the most appropriate RHA formula(s). You’re encouraged to arrive with a clean face and avoid blood-thinning agents (like aspirin or fish oil) for several days beforehand, unless otherwise directed.

Treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes. Using a fine needle or cannula, Dr. Preussner will carefully inject the selected RHA filler into the treatment areas. Most clients experience minimal discomfort, thanks to the built-in lidocaine and Dr. Preussner’s gentle technique.
Expect mild swelling or bruising in the first 24–72 hours—this is normal and usually resolves quickly. You can return to daily activities the same day, but should avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive sun exposure for 24 hours.
You’ll see improvement immediately, with results continuing to refine over the following week. Depending on the formula and area treated, results typically last 12 to 15 months. Maintenance appointments are recommended annually to preserve your refreshed look.
